Within the consumer's world, the record player has fallen into disuse a
long time ago as a piece of equipment for playing recorded sound.
However, the special charme of this analogue playback of sound is still
unbroken and the special characteristics of vinyl sound is inspiring
for many artists, last but not least because of the singularity of the
moment of sound of a medium that uses itself up with every usage and
therefore is constantly changing. With this range of work we want to
present artists that exhaust the experimental use of turntables and
sound storage media or deal with old, recovered or forgotten sound
equipment.
