02 danz ¯ Jürgen Palmer DVD, 5:37 min, D 2004
“danz“ is a visualisation study of the relation of body language and music. The 11-year-old actress see-saws between denial, rebellion and enthusiastic dance reaction.



03 Pop The Grape ¯ Carlo Crovato DVD, 7:30 min, D 2005
A radio interview with an American marine soldier about his experience in Iraq, the hopelessness of their situation and the methods of modern armed forces.



04 Wara Neman ¯ Eva-Maria Scherr + Steffi Eckelmann Mini-DV, 6 min, D 2002
(from Old High German wara neman to pay attention to something) The film watches the life of a community of disabled people.

An experimental documentary about the working days of truck driver Jumbo dominated by repetitions and monotony.

A film about the rhythm of the things. Found objects, observations, small grapic details of everyday life - meticulously collected, assembled and animated. A vision about the perception of time while we move around in concrete.


07 Titanikchen ¯ Anna Silvia Bins VHS, 18 min, D 2004
The movie picks up the human ability to remember in an unusual way. A humorous remake of Titanic based on told memories.

Students of film and art schools and professional filmmakers of all genres were invited to send their newly produced short films (max. 20 minutes) to the festival. The preselected films ¯ a selection from over 300 submissions ¯ will be presented to an audience which, at the end of the festival, will choose the audience prize. An invited film jury will award the prices in all other categories.

An enlightened tourist discovers his destiny in a wooden box in the Sahara.


02 Blindman’s Bluff ¯ Isabel Herguera 35 mm, 7:16 min, E 2005
A blind man loses his guide dog by accident. Alone and in the darkness of the big city he starts searching. A visualisaton of a workd that is only acoustically perceived.


03 Der Beste - Arne Jysch + Rasmus Borowski 35 mm, 15 min, D 2004
A mysterious stranger asks Harry, an illustrator who got on in years,for a special favour. Harry would be “the best” she was saying on the phone. Even when he attends to his task in her castle the strange woman does not turn up personally. What is her secret?

Powerplay is an animation in 10 scenes that show two men in verbal combat. Different behaviour patterns and contact rituals established in the western world are reduces to absurdity.

England 1256: Knight Arthur wins the decisive battle. He becomes King and, being a great visionary, he draws up his new society based on freedom and equality. But two tradesmen standing for all the sceptics and bureaucrats destroy this great idea.

Doctor Fémerlin has just completed his new invention: a hypnotising machine for people. He uses it in his neighbourhood, much for his own profit. But suddenly a stranger with special talent shows up in town – Fémerlin did not take this into account.

In the Black Forest, Bob Log III encounters difficulties as he tries to knock over sleeping cows. A story preferably told by the musician from Tuscon, Arizona in a friendly get-together.

Near the end of the 19th century, G. Rivas, specialised in rare diseases, takes on a strange case: Don Diego de Robledo is able to sleep for three consecutive days.
